World Book Day 2021  

The aim of World Book Day is to celebrate reading for pleasure and although World Book Day was celebrated virtually this year, with most of the children, lots of fun activities took place to promote a positive message about books and reading.  The theme was ‘Share a Story’ and children shared their favourite stories with us by recording or filming themselves reading; some children even made cosy dens to read in! Children made book collages using objects in their homes that related to their books and took part in a book cover quiz. The highlight of the day was, perhaps, ‘The Masked Reader’ where some teachers disguised themselves reading and the children had to guess who each character was. Great fun for both the teachers and the children.
