Chaplaincy
At Cottesmore St. Mary Catholic Primary School, our Chaplaincy Team is at the heart of the spiritual life and Catholic identity of our community. The team comprises Headteacher Mrs Breen, Mrs Szeless, Mrs Fairbanks, our RE Governor Dr Catherine Williamson and our parish priest, Canon David Parmiter. Together, they work tirelessly to nurture a faith-filled environment for all members of our school.
The Chaplaincy Team plays a vital role in embedding Catholic teachings into every aspect of school life. From organising meaningful liturgical celebrations to supporting the spiritual development of both pupils and staff, their work ensures that faith remains central to our daily experience. By working closely with the Governing Body, the team helps ensure that the school’s mission and values are clearly reflected in our educational practices and community focus.
Through their dedication, Cottesmore St. Mary continues to flourish as a place where faith, learning, and service come together to create a vibrant, caring, and inclusive environment.
In addition, the Chaplaincy Team provides ongoing support for the induction of new teachers and contributes to staff formation through training delivered as part of regular staff meetings.
