Year 3 Roman Training Day
| The Year 3 topic Swords and Sandals celebrated the end of their term of work by holding a Roman Training Day at Cottesmore. Children from Aldrington and Peter Gladwin schools joined us. We took part in many activities such as Roman Drilling, Javelin (pilum) throwing. We played knuckle-bones, made mosaics and fired onagers! There was a best shield competition as well and we ended the day creating junk armour to show on the cat-walk! |

| As Romans, we also held a banquet when we dressed up in our togas. We made laurel head dresses and dined on olives and delicious dormice! |
